Job Description

The Program Coordinator will assess, observe centers, and have oversight responsibility of centers ensuring health a safety is apparent and the delivery of high quality programs is present. The position is 40 hours/week & exempt.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • The Program Coordinator is responsible for the oversight and management of the activities, programs, and services implemented to meet the needs of children and families in centers and the partner school/district. He/she is a leader and coach directing the center in the delivery of stimulating and enriching lessons and activities that build upon and reinforce skills learned through creatively designed programs. Collaboration, cooperation and consistency in the implementation of LVCC, Department and regulatory policies, procedures and rules are critical to the successful operation of all centers.
  • The Program Coordinator, with direction from the Vice President of Early Childhood Education, oversees center compliance with all state and local laws, regulations and guidelines, as well as LVCC policies and procedures, state (OCDEL, STARS & DHS) requirements, Pre-K Counts requirements, CCIS subsidized funding rules and regulations, and takes necessary corrective active steps.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education
  • PA Director's Credential
  • Three years of experience in a management or leadership role supervising others
  • Multi center experience preferred
  • Teaching experience at the early childhood level
  • Knowledge of OCDEL, Pre-K Counts and DHS rules and regulations
  • Knowledge and experience with the Keystone STARS system
  • Experience working in a NAEYC accredited center a plus
  • ERS Trained
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills, internet and e-mail.
  • Be able to travel locally 90% of the time.
  • Bi-lingual a plus.
