Lehigh Valley Children’s Centers’ Director of Development will be instrumental in realizing our mission of providing high quality early education and child care. This management position is responsible for developing and implementing a development plan designed to impact and support programs for the communities we serve. The ideal candidate will drive the planning, development, and management of strategies to ensure our stakeholders understand our role and to guide the development of programs and initiatives to enhance stakeholder s involvement.
Identify new donors to increase services and program delivery across the organization.
Identify and research large grant opportunities and new donor to increase quality services across organization and in and around LVCC community.
Develop, implement, and manage an ambitious multi-channel communication and development plan that included individual, private foundations, corporations, and community groups and events.
Review and approve all written proposals prepared by part-time grant writer.
Support communications, marketing, advocacy, and quality improvement activities throughout the organization to increase LVCC visibility.
Engage in collective community impact efforts, both leading and supporting, in partnership with key organizations, strategic partners, institutions and school districts representing LVCC to the public.
Create, brand, and promote communication concepts that represent the mission and objectives of LVCC’s community, special initiatives, and other community outreach efforts.
Collaborate with marketing and leadership in creating content for newsletters, brochures, campaign materials, annual reports, and digital media platforms.
Manage projects and events ensuring deadlines are met.
Demonstrated ability to productively participate in a multi-disciplinary team environment working towards common goals with internal and external teams.
Promote the LVCC “culture” and communicating the philosophy, mission, and values of LVCC.
Update, manage and maintain Donor Perfect and other digital platforms pertaining to the department.
Work with community partners to conduct a community needs assessment and provide input into the process for sharing results to key donors.
Participate in board meetings and development committee meeting as required.
Oversee social media and fundraising campaigns.
Bachelors in Business, MBA preferred
5 years in development and fundraising experience in planning and coordinating.
Experience in strategic communication that requires the development and execution of a strategy using advanced web and social media technologies.
Grant development and management experience.
Knowledge of program evaluation methodologies and outcome measurement preferred.
Experience with volunteer boards and committees preferred.
Relationship builder and goal oriented.
Strong computer skills including MS Office, Adobe, Donor Perfect, and other design programs.
Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communications skills.
Able to work flexible schedule and occasional evenings/weekends.
Able to travel between centers, administration office, and community partner’s locations using personal vehicle.
