Lehigh Valley Children's Centers (LVCC), a growing non-profit early education and child care organization, is seeking a Human Resources professional to manage a employee relations program for 200+ employees located throughout the Lehigh Valley. We are looking for a professional manager who works well with management and staff to promote a positive and caring workplace. The ideal candidate will have experience in HR Generalist position.
Assist in develop & implementing HR policies and Employee Handbook updates in response to federal, state, and local regulations
Administering recruitment and onboarding procedures
Assist in identifying and developing employee retention and be part of strategic plans team.
Manage employee relations
Manage Workers Compensation claims
Manager Unemployment claims
Manager the Safety Committee's monthly meetings, minutes, agenda, and members
Administer organizational compliance for all employees and ensure all needed clearances are kept current; and required and current documents are at the centers as well as Administration office.
Administer and manage all FMLA and other leave of absence requests
Promotes a positive workplace culture enabling each employee to perform effectively, in alignment with LVCC's mission
Various other duties / projects, as assigned
BS/BA degree in human resources management or related major or an Associates Degree in business/HR with several years' experience
4+years of experience with progressively increasing responsibilities
Non-profit experience a plus, PHR or SPHR certification preferred
Knowledge of the field of early education and child care is a plus
FBI Fingerprinting, PA Child Abuse, and PA Criminal Background Clearances
A professional team player with excellent organizational skills and detailed oriented
Computer skills with Microsoft Office and other business programs required.
Ability to travel to various centers throughout Lehigh Valley if needed
